You will need to connect the Adtran voice gateway (and WiFi router if applicable) to the Internet modem the same as it is connected today. We strongly advise taking a few pictures of the connections and label the wires that are plugged into each unit (Adtran & Internet modem).

Here are the 3 connections on the Adtran (see Figure 1 below):

1. Power cable from Adtran to 120v wall outlet.

2. Data Network connection from Adtran (eth 0/1) to Internet modem.

3. Telco PRI connection from Adtran (DSX-1) to UC router.

If you are using the same Broadband Internet Service Provider (ISP) at the new location, the ip addresses may or may not be the same. If the ISP is providing Dynamic IP address it is very likely that your public ip address from them will be changing. If the ISP is providing a Static IP address, they will be able to provide the new address details before you move. Please pass these details to AXECOM Support (support@4axecom.com) as soon as possible to that we can prepare for your relocation in advance.

Here is an example of Static IP address details from ISP:

NETWORK: 69.195.204.208
GATEWAY: 69.195.204.209
USABLE IP: 69.195.204.210
SUBNET MASK: 255.255.255.252
DNS 1: 24.29.99.35
DNS 2: 24.29.99.36

If you are changing Internet providers then your ip address will definitely be changing. Please provide AXECOM Support (support@4axecom.com) with the new ISP information as soon as possible.
